Maciej Zaborski

Graduated from the Arts and Crafts High School in Jelenia Góra, 1976. In 1976–1985 he worked
in the glass industry, first as a grinder, then as a vocational teacher. In 1985–1991 he ran his own workshop designing and manufacturing engraved glass. Employed at the E. Geppert Academy
of Art and Design in Wrocław since 1996. In the years between 1998–2002 and again from 2009 he has been head of the Glass Department at the Ceramics and Glass Faculty at that institution.

He has won the Rector's Prize at the E. Geppert Academy of Art and Design in Wrocław, Szkło 2003, Wrocław. The Rems-Murr Region Prize, „Glas ein Spiegel der Seele", Rudersberg, Germany, 2005.

He has participated in 60 solo and collective exhibitions and glass festivals in Poland and in the Czech Republic, Belgium, Finland, the Netherlands, Morocco, Germany, Sweden, and the USA.

His works are on display in the Karkonoskie Museum in Jelenia Góra, the National Museum in Wrocław and in private collections in Europe, Canada, USA and Australia.
