Javier Blanco

Graduated from the University of Barcelona, Department of Sculpture, Barcelona, Spain, 1995. During his studies, in 1993 he completed a 3-year Glass Programme at the Fundació Centre del Vidre Barcelona, Barcelona, and was included in the scholarship at the Sheridan College of Art and Design, Toronto, Canada, 1991–1992.
From 1999 he has run his own exhibition space called Blanco Studio, Barcelona, where he presents his art and design works, many of which are made of glass. Apart from his glass art, he works as a designer and interior designer.

He has had 5 individual exhibitions in Spain and Canada. He has participated in 15 group exhibitions in Spain, Belgium, Canada, Germany, and the Netherlands.

His works can be found in Spanish public collections, including: the Contemporary Glass Art Museum in Alcorcón (MAVA) and in the Fundación Centro Nacional Del Vidrio, La Granja, Segovia, Spain.
