Barbara Zworska-Raziuk

Graduated from the Faculty of Ceramics at the State School of Fine Arts (currently, the E. Geppert Academy of Art and Design), Wrocław, Poland, 1984. She has been a lecturer there from 1985, holding a professorial degree since 2000. Currently, she is running the Glass Art Studio at the E. Geppert Academy of Art and Design.

She has received the medal of Merit in the Service of Polish Culture, 2012, and the Gloria Artis Gold Medal for Merit to Polish Culture, 2014 – both awarded by the Minister of Culture and National Heritage.

She has participated in 7 individual exhibitions in Poland and abroad, including: Glass and Ceramics Gallery (currently: SiC! gallery), BWA Wrocław – Gallery of Contemporary Art, Poland, 2001; SiC! gallery, 2013. She has also participated in over 70 group exhibitions in Poland, Belgium, the Czech Republic, Denmark, Finland, France, Germany, Morocco, the Netherlands, Russia, Ukraine, and the USA, including: Poland – Glass made in Wroclaw, Glasmuseum Alter Hof Herding, Coesfeld, Germany, 2014.

Her art works are included in Polish public collections, such as: the National Museum in Warsaw; the National Museum in Poznań – the Museum of Applied Arts; the Karkonosze Museum, Jelenia Góra, as well as in private collections in Poland and abroad – in Belgium, Denmark, Germany, and the USA.

She works in cold glass techniques mostly. She often uses greenish window glass, combined with high-fired ceramics and metal elements.
