Antonina Joszczuk
Graduated from the Faculty of Ceramics and Glass at the Academy of Fine Arts, Wrocław, Poland, 2006. Employed there since 2009 as an assistant at the Studio of Art Glass Basics at the Faculty of Ceramics and Glass; from 2018 the head of the Glass Department. In 2016, she received her doctorate.
She was a finalist at the 4th International Triennial of Silicate Arts, the Cultural and Conference Centre of Kecskemét (Kecskeméti Kulturális és Konferencia Központ), Hungary, 2014, and at the International Glass Prize competition, GlazenHuis – the Flemish Centre for Contemporary Glass Art, Lommel, Belgium, 2015. Selected for the New Glass Review 38, the Corning Museum of Glass, New York, USA, 2016.
She has participated in 6 solo exhibitions in Poland: Occupied – Tośka, SiC! gallery, BWA – Gallery of Contemporary Art, Wrocław, 2008; Transfer, the exhibition included in the programme of the Play with Glass – European Glass Festival, the Centre for Applied Art, Centre for Innovation – E. Geppert Academy of Art and Design in Wrocław, 2016; Out of Control, SiC! gallery, BWA – Gallery of Contemporary Art, Wrocław, 2017.
She has participated in 45 group exhibitions in Poland, Belgium, the Czech Republic, Denmark, Germany, and Slovakia, including: Space Between Us, Kunsthaus, Wiesbaden, Germany, 2012; Three Dimensions, the Centre of Polish Sculpture in Orońsko, Poland, 2013; Poland – Glass Made in Wroclaw, Glasmuseum Alter Hof Herding, Coesfeld, Germany, 2014; Process, GlazenHuis – the Flemish Centre for Contemporary Glass Art, Lommel, 2015; the European Triennial for Ceramics and Glass 2016, Mons, Belgia, 2016.
Her works are to be found in the Cultural and Conference Centre of Kecskemét, as well as in private collections in Poland, Germany, and the USA.
She creates glass objects and installations. Sometimes she combines glass with plastic, polyurethane foam or silicone.
