Inita Ēmane

Graduated from the Art Academy of Latvia, Faculty of Visual Plastic Arts, Department of Glass Art (MA), Riga, Latvia, 1999.
Employed at the Academy from 1993, presently Associate Professor. Teacher in the Riga School of Art and Design since 2009.
Expanded her knowledge and experience in numerous glass studios in Finland, the Czech Republic, Luxembourg, and the Netherlands during her ERASMUS+ Internship programme and was awarded a grant for creative work from the Boris and Inara Teterev Foundation.
Awarded numerous grants for creative work by the State Culture Capital Foundation (SCCF). Achieved 3rd place at the 4th China Hejian Craft Glass Design Innovation Competition, 2019.
Participated in 10 solo exhibitions in Latvia and France, and in over 60 group exhibitions in Latvia, China, Denmark, Estonia, Finland, Germany, Lithuania, Luxembourg, Poland, Russia, and South Korea.
Works in the museum and private collections, including: Museum of Glass in Kamenický Šenov, the Czech Republic; Crystal Museum of Maltsov, Gus-Khrustalny, Russia; Art and Design Museum and Mentzendorff House, Riga, Latvia; Museum of Glass Art, Yelagin Island, Saint-Petersburg, Russia.
Restored many stained-glass windows of cultural and historical significance in Latvia.
She loves knitting, crochet, sewing and gardening.
