Marzena Krzemińska–Baluch

Graduated from the Faculty of Ceramics and Glass at the E. Geppert Academy of Art and Design in Wrocław, Poland, 2006. Since 2007 she has been employed as teaching staff in this faculty in the Glass Department. In 2006–2007 she worked as a designer in the Villa Glass Studio, Krosno, Poland.
She has received numerous grants and awards, including the Scholarship from the Ministry of Culture and National Heritage Young Poland, 2006, 2009. In 2011 she was selected as an Emerging Artist in Residence at the Pilchuck Glass School, Stanwood, WA, USA. She was teaching assistant there in 2012 and obtained a full scholarship in 2013.
In 2015 and 2016 she was invited as a Visiting Professor to the Ball State College of Fine Arts at the Ball State University, Muncie, IN, USA. In 2016 she received the Emerge 2016 Silver Award in the international kiln formed glass competition, organized by Bullseye Project, Portland, OR, USA.
She has participated in 4 individual exhibitions in Poland and the Netherlands, and in over 70 group exhibitions in Belgium, Bulgaria, the Czech Republic, Denmark, Germany, Latvia, Luxembourg, the Netherlands, the USA, and Poland.
Her work is represented in a number of public collections, including: Glasmuseum Alter Hof Herding, Coesfeld, Germany; Museum Jan van der Togt, Amstelveen, the Netherlands; Marlin K. Glick Centre for Glass, Muncie, USA; the Karkonosze Museum, Jelenia Góra, Poland; the Glass Heritage Centre, Krosno, Poland, as well as in private collections in Poland and abroad.
